7th grade Geography Week of May 4 - 10

Hi geographers!!!

It was so good to see you on Hangouts today.  As we discussed now is the time to complete all assignments and begin your presentation project.

IXL

Most of you completed last week’s IXL which was CC. #7. International governments.

So this week complete:   FF. #2  Responsibility of Citizenship and GG.  #1. What is economics?

These  IXL activities are important aspects that may be familiar to you. You should be able to complete them in a short amount of time.  The selections are easy to read, but they are  important every day life skills that will be beneficial to your adult life.

Now for your project.  Remember,  your presentation contains three (3) aspects: Maps, Holidays, and Create a Museum.

MAPS.....defines a region in many ways.
1.).  Physical....include its landforms, bodies of waters, deserts, or other geographical terms
2.).  Political....shows boundaries and includes the capital and major cities
3.).  Thematic....representing the population, religions, and natural resources

HOLIDAYS....a list of significant holidays in your particular country to help us understand the culture of that country.

CREATE A MUSEUM...introduce the art and society of your country to others.  For example, your museum might include:       Country’s flag
                                                     Artifacts
                                                     Clothing worn or shelter/homes
                                                     Literature/Artwork/Paintings
                                                     Inventions
                                                     Historical highlights/Places to visit

As always, reach out to a classmate or to me by email if you have questions.

See you on Wednesday Hangouts.

Love, Ms. O
